There's a story I wish I knew the truth of…<p>On the morning of that day, all of the Swedish radio and TV channels ran nonstop coverage of the Change. At one point, a TV journalist at one of the border roads to/from Norway spoke to a Norwegian driver who was just entering Sweden from Norway, live on TV, and asked this Norwegian what he thought about today's big change.<p>"What change?"<p>The journalist tried to hint. The Norwegian continued to play or be dense and pretend not to have noticed either the immense signage surrounding them, or any advance publicity. The camera panned out to show the Norwegian's vehicle, some sort of giant semitrailer with a dangerous load, very scary-looking. The camera panned in again. The Norwegian looked blankly at the journalist, the journalist looked increasingly nervous.
It's too unwieldy to change all vehicles in one day.<p>Much better to do the change over several days. So trucks would change over on day one, followed by buses on day two and all cars on day three.
