Bla, bla, bla, tldr:<p>"Beating laziness starts with acknowledging it and taking steps to address it. Hire a coach or find a like-minded training partner, preferably one who’s a better lifter than you are (Try asking the biggest, strongest guy at the gym if you can train with him. Seriously. Even if they don’t have the most scientific approach to training, 99% of strong, jacked people got strong and jacked by working really, really hard). Use a really simple tool (your notebook) or a not-so-simple tool (a bar speed tracker) to make sure you aren’t slacking. Maybe you should try pushing yourself to your breaking point just to learn what it truly feels like to work really hard, in order to make yourself more comfortable with the discomfort that goes hand-in-hand with the effort required to get stronger. Last but not least, make intense training a little easier by making it habitual."
