Men Are Now More Likely to Be Single Than Women. It's Not a Good Sign

I think the title is stupid. From my perspective this is an article by inequality of wealth more than an article about men being single, it even tells us this itself by mentioning that married people aren’t getting richer, rather, only more established people get married, thus increasing the overall wealth of married people in statistics. To me this article speaks volumes about how some men are struggling to adapt to a modern society where you have to make yourself a wanted commodity, and how what that is has changed. Not just as a romantic partner but in any part of western society.
Maybe it’s just me, but the article started out by saying that unemployed 30 year old men are increasingly likely to be living with their parents… Isn’t it sort of obvious why those men aren’t going to have an easy time finding a romantic partner? And really, is that really their biggest headline worthy issue?
I guessed it worked though. I mean, it sure had me sign in to see if the article was interesting, but it’s not. It has no solutions and it outlines a problem that have seen an increasing amount of awareness (at least in Scandinavia) for 20 years now. We’re still searching for the answer by the way.

I can imagine that a new form of partnership would help, a marriage 2.0. Some people do not want to commit for the rest of their life, dont want the hassle of a potential divorce and people realised that we are living much longer today and that life partners can change.
Hence, something more modern might help. Give people tax benefits, make it easier to close and you will have positive effects quite quickly.
And yes, life is getting less fair for some, more fair for others. According to the article single men dont make more money than 30 years ago, women, however, do.
This is a positive effect of feminism. Why should you pay a guy more if a girl can do the same job. Both will get the same. This leads to the effect described in the article.
The time where a women HAD to get married to a man for economic benefits is over. The times where a man could provide for a family on his single income is over. And those times wont come back.
Time to evolve and reinvent.
