The only substantive parts of this bill seems to be about A) letting aging reactors keep going past their intended lifespan and B) banning Russia from investing (surprised this was even legal before).<p>The rest looks like fluff.<p>At the risk of sounding like one of those hippy anti nuclear zealots, I wouldnt mind increasing the catastrophe liability cap ($375mil) <i>slightly</i> above 0.04% of the price of dealing with 1 Fukushima ($800bil) in exchange for running them longer. It would give me confidence that it&#x27;s really as 100% risk free as they keep telling me it is.
