Gun applicants required to list social media accounts

It appears as though the government would like to use gun registration as means to actively surveil on citizens.<p>This seems a bit far reaching. They already know your address, social security number, DOB, phone number, any aliases, height, weight, etc.<p>What do they propose to do with the information?

And if applicants say &quot;I don&#x27;t have any&quot;? Or applicant creates a fake one?

Is this a violation of privacy or does such a thing still exist?<p>Imagine they want social media accounts for a driver&#x27;s license.
