I'm curious if anyone knows whether this affects "real world" speeds.
I know, for example, that a multi-GB copy on a brand-new Mac is blazingly fast as the SSD is "virgin".
But that once I've filled up the disk, added and deleted and modified the disk's capacity many times over, and keeping it usually around 80-90% full, that the speed is nothing what is what like out of the box. Certainly seems to me by more than a 2x slowdown.
So even if there's a new bottleneck that reduces the maximum SSD speed to 50% in the worst case... is it even noticeable or relevant if there's a bigger bottleneck related to regular, day-in-day-out SSD usage?
