I can't believe your nationality was the reason. I know Ukrainians at Google, Amazon, Meta and Apple working as devs. These are all SDE jobs in Europe.
Was it because he/she was Ukrainian or, was it because Apple has a strict hiring process that could not be flexible enough to give a pass when the country where the candidate come from is at war?<p>Unless the person managing that hiring process is a supporter of Russia, I can’t see why Apple would not hire somebody due to the Ukrainian citizenship.
