Will this drive innovation and investment around solar panel efficiency and longevity improvements or will they be buying the cheap imported 18% efficiency panels? Is there anything in the legislation to require the panels be produced locally and meet some minimum efficiency, durability and longevity standards, ideally also breaking dependency on imported minerals? There are plenty of unemployed coal miners that could be put to work extracting the minerals required for these solar panels locally. By locally I mean US/Canada.
