In every thread about books, Pratchett novels always come up.
With 41 books, the discussion about "Reading order" is of course often held.
Notably, I already looked at L-Space's and Discworld Emporium's.
But what does HN think about this?
I'm in a similar position, except I've already read The Colour of Money. And found it boring. The only cool part was when Death appeared for a page or two.
So I'm going to give the Discworld another shot with Mort. It's third or so on my (fiction) reading stack. We'll see how it goes.
But maybe Discworld simply isn't for me. After all, I wasn't fond of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy either.
Colour of Magic sets up the Disc, and how it works, after that you can do any of them.
Fundamentally do you like, wizards, witches, guards, death, or the chancer (moist Von lipwig) ?
I say this because the whole set is basically split up into those themes.
Personally, my favourite is Feet Of Clay.
However, if pinned down, I will always say, read them in the order they were published, as is true for all book sets.
