Is it to plan ahead? Maintain a routine and follow it to the second? Or is it to be fluid and do whatever you feel like when you feel like?
Maybe you have a day job, a family, a hobby beyond your job like reading, gardening, etc.
At the same time being fit and healthy. Having enough muscle mass to prevent falls in old age.
Eat properly, exercise enough to prevent atrophy and maintain satisfying strength/endurance
Develop your talents
protect yourself from a world that wants to eat and shit you out, with a smile
For the first decade of my adult life I was a machine. Self taught, self determined, purposeful. Almost neomonistic at times.
For the last decade, fluid and doing whatever I like, yet somehow adapting to consistent patterns.
Tbh, the greatest advantage I have developed comes by learning to live lean (even amid prosperity). Do not need things, or people for that matter, yet treat them well and value them when they are available.
I have studied the past 6,000 years of human history.
I have studied enough modernity to recognize the modern trend of “science based thinking“ is a sham (most great insights come from citizen scientists who are not caught up in what is established.)
It is easier to develop a taste for humanity by studying our PAST than finding good examples in the present (of which we have digressed in many ways.)
The only right path is figuring out these things for yourself, though that includes trying things which inspire you.
