Restriction diet in mice is well established. Metformin is in short supply worldwide because of (ab)use for life extension and weighloss (which is a neighbour field). Most other views on the benefits of restriction diet on longevity and neutraceuticals are mixed: for everyone who says &quot;works for me&quot; there is another saying &quot;short term gain, longterm risk&quot; or similar statements.<p>The scientific fraud behind Amyloid theory has thrown a lot of people, because the fundamentals of why people think removing brain plaque is valuable are now back for review.<p>The outlook is good! There are no settled questions, and people continue to want to live longer. So.. its a rich field to mine, with deep pockets associated with it.<p>(don&#x27;t work in the field. Unsure I think living longer is net beneficial)
