Experimented with the new sound recognition SDK in iOS; to expand our toolbox to create cool experiences.
I have always been fascinated by aviation. When an aircraft flies above me, I often wonder: what kind of airplane is it? A 737 or Bombardier? Where is it flying towards? At what speed?
How?
The app uses iPhone’s mic to sense the presence of aircraft sounds. Once detected, it calls flight data APIs, reads out the flight details, show photos of that particular aircraft above you and its current flight path on a map.
Cheers.
Interesting idea. With this app, it appears that to monetize the app you can capture the user’s GPS location *and* use the microphone for collecting audio information.
