Ask HN: YouTube channels that you enjoyed but whose name you forgot

9 pointsby GamerUncleover 2 years ago
I am making this thread because I forgot the name of a youtube channel. And I thought it might be a good idea to make a thread were we all ask about youtube channels we forgot and want to remember. I will start: There used to be this youtube channel full of DIY projects with a very minimalistic aesthetic, it was mostly black and white with 3d schemas. Lots of projects involved raspberry pi usage, and the presenter had a soothing voice. Any clues ?

Ok, I'll bite. But this is for a specific video. It was probably around 2008 or 2010. One guy was singing all the vocal parts of a song. There was a different "persona" in their own box of the video. Each persona of the video was singing a different part. Each persona had a different amount of facial hair.

There was a channel, probably about 6 or 7 years ago, where some guy replaced natural sounds with other sounds in a convincing manner (or convincing if you were alien to the real sounds). For instance, in a cooking video you'd hear the sound of grating concrete while slicing a vegetable. It was strangely stimulating.

There used to be this YouTube video about the launch of an ICBM with dubbed-in music from the videogame MechWarrior 2. It was rather cool...
