Indian government want to increase security by preventing &quot;sideloading&quot; of the apps in smartphones. Which really means, &quot;You cannot run a program on your own device bought with your own money without getting it signed by Apple or Google because that is bad for cybersecurity.&quot;<p>They also want apps to check for root permissions to prevent running on rooted phones. There are also mentions of obfuscation of the binaries to increase security.
