Hello HN Crowd
Original Post one year ago : https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28320346
Last year I have submitted a "Show HN" post that got my MVP thousands of visits and a ton of valuable feedback. I have decided to continue on my projet and to release it as a product.
I finally made it https://postoptions.app
It is a Live Options scanner that can extract profitable trading opportunities in (pseudo) real time.
Why I have created this product?
I have created the product to solve a personal need finding reliable option screeners that analyse live option data and not intraday data. At this stage I'm satisfied with the value-added since I'm personally using the product to profitably occasionally trade iron-condors.
What technology stack is used?
The stack I used is from frontend to backend : React, Laravel, c# .Net Core app running on Ubuntu, and Hetzner+OVH for hosting. Stripe as a payment processor, Tradier as Market Data provider (I have signed an agreement with them to not get doomed by OPRA)
Where are you going from here?
My goal is to get my first paying customer. Then I plan to add some major features: - Expand to more financial products (Stocks, European Options....) - Add more data points such as different price patterns and measures - Add a desktop application to build automated trading bots with a backtest engine - Add scanner alerts - Incorporate Tradier Auth into subscription plans. (Sigh, If I only had the time...)
Looking forward to you feedback and comments.
To me MVP still means "Microsoft Most Valuable Professional".
I'm guessing that in this case it is "minimum viable product", as in "a service that is just barely useful and good enough that some people will pay money for it".
