The brain and gut work together on a lower than subconscious level to maintain your weight. And it is very very accurate in doing so. You're conscious mind cannot out think it. It counts calories and expenditures nearly perfectly. Only through serious effort can weight be reduced and it takes a very long time for the body to reset itself, if it even can.
