This is really clever. I use `tree` sometimes but I guess I never read the man page, because I didn’t know about those .info files.<p>By using symbolic links, this could be used for an actual mindmap, rather than just another outlining tool: it could represent part of the more complex topology that actually captures the way ideas are related.

Nice. I didnt know there was a tree command for showing hierarchy. Thanks for putting all of this togeather.

I thought &quot;poor man&#x27;s mind mapping tool&quot; is pen and paper? and maybe cheap smartphone to digitalize it :)

I&#x27;ve been using plantuml to write mindmaps in markdown notation. Pretty nifty
