Collecting such news into a conceptual picture of what has been going on (really all around the world, though became open in the UA conflict), it is a pretty much expose on how things ( military <-> corporations <-> state-apparatus of US) are in fact running this world; foreign and economic-international politics (pressure games as well as wars). It is not really news for those who follow events since 20 years, however, this time it is nearly impossible to hide or shroud it anymore (perhaps only to the most gullible sectors of populations may be blind to this -- there will always be some percentage of populace).
What kind of implications it will have on self-perception of the general west population, and also then on the perception of adversarial actors in the global scheme(?) It seems to be that elites are no longer able or lost concern for hiding the growing abyss of disconnect of what is desire/concern of normal people versus elite's visions.

Militaries (Western and non-Western) usually try out their "shiny new military tech" in whatever conflict they can use it. And their arms companies will try and sell their latest wares.
