Amazon Raises Hourly Wages at Cost of Almost $1B a Year

For comparison: their revenue in 2021 was $470B, and the net profit was $33B.<p>So the company isn&#x27;t exactly risking its bottom line here. They could double those raises and still come down to a rounding error.

Is this a good thing? Without the economic incentive of profit, job creators won&#x27;t be able to create more jobs. Then where will we be?
