Ask HN: Running pi-hole for a whole town

The town I live in built our own fiber network that got finished in late 2019 (good timing for me to wfh!). Since we own the network, I think it would be cool to run something like pi-hole, or our own DNS, for the whole network (perhaps opt-in, or opt-out).<p>Another potentially bad idea is to try and sell anonymized traffic data to make the service cheaper for residents.<p>I’m sure folks here know why this is a bad idea, but I have an urge to get on the town broadband board and see if this idea resolves.
