Intel Laptop Users Should Avoid Linux 5.19.12 to Avoid Damaging Display

Ah, nostalgia. Reminds me of my first Linux install, 1997, when I had to worry about the kernel destroying my display.

Does anyone has more info about the issue ? Looks like a HW protection done in SW (after they stayed cheap with HW).
