The U.S. has purchased more than 1,330 terminals from SpaceX, while SpaceX “donated” 3,670 terminals. However, the USAID is paying $1,500 for each terminal, while it normally costs $600.
Knowing that the military is interested in the terminals, this seems to be SpaceX selling those terminal at cost to showcase their stuff in action. Of course, hoping meanwhile for a future government contract and being smug about helping Ukraine.
> Gwynne Shotwell said at a public event last month, later telling CNBC, “I don’t think the U.S. has given us any money to give terminals to Ukraine.”
Why do all Musk companies lie about trivial stuff like that?
