The idea is that you have a large pool of incoming stories and you aren't interested in 'reading' all of them, but you want to reduce the chance of missing a single story. You want to 'screen' all stories.<p>This UI explores a 'mark-and-clear' idiom; you mark a group of stories as 'read' and then you clear that group, purging the stories from your view completely.
