Ask HN: What's up with automatically-generated web content?

1 pointsby khaled_ismaeelover 2 years ago
Over the last couple of years I noticed that seemingly machine-generated content like alternativeto.net and differencebetween.net pop up among the first results on Google, even though there is very good "human-generated" content out there. Anybody else noticing something similar?

In google, you’ll never get the expected perfect results. Every time they show us the paid result, they also follows government rules and everywhere promote the things which benefits them. In the first age, google has given us good service, but after becoming popular and showing themselves as a BRAND now they just use our information and interests and sell them to the gov. and other companies. After all we all using google because of it’s popularity and easy system.

they want ad revenue, thus advertising continues to corrode the internet; justifying the creation of fake content on which it may be displayed, and diluting the pool of real content<p>google has no interest in search quality so they happily vend such junk, and I&#x27;m pretty sure because they get paid to list it so prominently.
