Isn&#x27;t the losing of information by digitising sound a particularly bad example? The Nyquist–Shannon theorem states that you can get perfect reconstruction of the wave if the sampling rate is high enough.<p>Edit: Haha looks like this was the top comment in the original discussion too. Bikeshedding and all that, eh?
