For me a lot of these new "learning concepts" seem like justifications for teachers to make their job easier, at the cost of actual educational results.
Structuring a classroom is no doubt hard and exhausting work, so is teaching children. But the solution is not to let children do what they want, everyone who ever was a child knows what children will do if you give them an easy way to exploit the system...<p>Nobody, besides the teachers, is helped by removing the requirement for students to put in effort. "High grade students" won't see their efforts pay and "low grade students" will put in even less effort...
