This guy is gonna get fired because this is a terrible video for google share prices. Investors will balk at paying salary to people who work 20hr&#x2F;wk.<p>Picture the headline:<p>Google engineers &#x27;just want to chill&#x27; (for six figures)<p>Not that I disagree. I&#x27;d love that kind of WLB. It&#x27;s why I&#x27;m shoring up my programming skills and trying to pivot my career in that direction. I&#x27;m 100% on board with my boy here.<p>But it was a mistake to make a video so incredibly tone-deaf. Tons of americans are working 50-60 hours a week in labor intensive jobs and not making enough to feel secure and this guy thinks he&#x27;s &#x27;inspiring the next generation of developers&#x27;? Can you guys imagine the vitriol that&#x27;s coming in a few days when news outlets pick this up?<p>Average people already resent the technocracy. This video may as well be titled &#x27;Let them eat cake&#x27;.
