Why Does Every Tech Company Want to “Democratize” Something?

This is what the collective peoples have projected as their “wants”.<p>Is it really?<p>I think it is empowerment that peoples want, and democracy is a system of choosing, and choices make peoples believe + feel empowered.<p>Is that the same thing?<p>Online first anything is a treacherous snare for us to find ourselves.<p>A desire for dependence upon brands beyond the consumed commoditized product is a marmalade sky of make believe.<p>We will always struggle through changing times to relay these messages of codependence.

Mostly a way to get people to work for free or on spec.<p>If Netflix wants content they have to pay people union rates to make it in Hollywood. They have an easy time with content moderation.<p>Facebook doesn&#x27;t pay anyone a dime. YouTube pays people after the content is made. Both of those have to fight to keep child pornography and other obnoxious count but the capital cost of creating IP is not there.
