Ask HN: How do you keep up with new technologies?

2 pointsby shantnutiwariover 2 years ago
Ive recently cut down my social media use, and that includes Reddit/HN, as unfortunately, I always found myself dragged into things I didn't care about.
But now Im missing the new interesting things shared here. New technolgies, new libraries / tools etc
Is there an email list or similar way to keep up with interesting new stuff coming out? Im sure Ive seen links of people running email lists of top HN posts, but I can't find them. (Or at least, can't find any still active).
Is there an easier way to keep up with new tech?

I read the newsletter from Console and Changelog. Best of luck on your endeavor to stay in the loop while cutting down social media use.

Please don't. I mean, be aware of them, but be careful how much you invest your time in them. New technologies can soon become so embarrassing you miss them off your CV (I have). Put in effort a little behind the curve.
