I had thought the depopulation was slowing. Apparently not.<p>Can’t imagine this being any ruling party’s political priority with whispers of a recession in the air (I’m sure many will pay lip service)<p>I have no idea what to do about this. It’s such a severe, long term, tragedy of the commons situation.

Why the headline change? A population decline is not the same thing as a biodiversity decline.

69% decline in areas other than Europe and USA, EU and USA were already lost in 1970.

Shows how effective they&#x27;ve been at their mission so far, doesn&#x27;t it?<p>I suspect they may have nudged their statistics beyond the point where it can be excused as hyperbole. What <i>is</i> a &quot;species&quot; anymore? Does it often happen that a mother animal gives birth to multiple species in a single litter by their standards?
