RAID on random USB Sticks

Another variation of this would be to use LVM2 on the USB devices and add each one as a PV, then use RAID on top of the logical volumes. The reason being is that it is super easy to migrate PV's in LVM from device to device should one start to exhibit errors rather than waiting for a full failure to auto-rebuild the raid, or expand a logical volume by adding more devices.
