I've been working remotely for a while and whilst I met some awesome people on the way, keeping in touch with them and meeting new people in new places has become increasingly difficult. Probably because I'm less keen than in the past to hang out in hostels, go out drinking, etc. and would rather find friends for sports or active things to do, e.g., hikes, surf, paddle, climbing, cycling, etc. Daily beers and eating out hit differently after 30 :)
So, I'm building an app just for that - to find other nomads/ remote workers who share your sport interests, to keep in touch as you move spots and let your friends know when you're in a new location.
Thoughts?
I need feedback and testers and you can check it out here: https://bit.ly/3zpF4Kq
Cheers!
I signed up, the idea sounds cool. However I wouldn't focus on _only_ outdoor sports. I have my phases where I'm really into being outdoors and then periods where I just want to hangout in a bar.
The site and the description here kind of seems to shame people who enjoy being in a bar, for example:
> or hang out with party-hard hostel crowd.
I'd recommend to focus on creating a community where remote workers can get in touch with each other and not too much on the activity they can or cannot do.
I hope around between two major EU cities and hanging out with other remote workers is definitely different. However I wouldn't want to ONLY go do an outdoor activity with people.
