Hi HackerNews!
What do you use to create beautiful charts / diagrams etc?
Let's say I have an Idea on my mind what I want to illustrate to others in my blog.
I can use Gimp or Photopea to create everything myself, of course.
But are there tools which make this much easier?
How do you do it and what do you use?
Thank you :)
For some things
https://plantuml.com/
I am also a fan of making complex "boxes and lines" diagrams with Microsoft Powerpoint. I wish it had something better than
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%A9zier_curve
for the lines between the boxes, but I can get an idea out of my head onto the page quickly with Powerpoint which is not true about "better" vector tools like Adobe Illustrator.
https://excalidraw.com/ -> This one is cool, it makes something look like it's hand drawn.
https://app.diagrams.net/ -> this one has a big shapes library, so it can go from UML to cloud diagrams, it's also easy to use and a lot of export options
