I'm all for e-bikes, and i'm all for Van Moof selling as many of their ugly bikes as they can, because at least they have built-in lights, but the idea that they, or anything, is going to transform any place into bike-friendly spaces is just fantasy.<p>just the latest example of "let's pretend we can get a whole lot of something for almost nothing".<p>if you don't have safe spaces for people to ride, they're not going to ride -- whether there is an 'e-' in front of the 'bike' or not.
