Ask HN: How would you adapt ChatGPT to be a proactive chatbot?

ChatGPT is based on you asking a question and they answering. You are the one excited and interested in the conversation and the other side is reactive.<p>What about the contrary ? How would you change the prompts or send hidden prompts between conversations to make ChatGPT the one actually interested in you, and not the contrary ?<p>I tried asking questions with the additional &quot;(answer with a follow up question)&quot;, but it didn&#x27;t always worked.

Early chatbots (see <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;en.wikipedia.org&#x2F;wiki&#x2F;ELIZA" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;en.wikipedia.org&#x2F;wiki&#x2F;ELIZA</a>) could come very close to fooling people with two skills: (1) active listening and (2) changing the subject.<p>I&#x27;d suggest writing a few paragraphs describing the above behaviors in great detail.
