Should You Be Eating Less Salt?
Probably not. More likely I should be eating more Potassium. I like most people was not getting the 4-5 grams required per day for an adult which resulted in cellular low potassium, something doctors could not see in a blood lab test as that only measures K+ in the serum.
I have since corrected my intake of potassium and my resting heart rate has reduced to safe levels and I am no longer on any prescription drugs. Salt and Potassium require a balance that is maintained by the kidneys. Even the healthiest kidneys can not balance that which is not there.
