I'm a Platorm person who has been tasked with setting this up for some data shovelling for a data team at work. Would not recommend.
It's a pain to deploy/monitor and you'll have to abandon any hopes of reasonable/sane declarative configuration management. Everything eventually needs to be done through the UI, which is just buggy and painful.
I setup airbyte cloud when I was tight on resources and needed integrations done fast, had no bandwidth to spend a day or two working on the ETL flows.
Overall it's been good once it was configured. Ran into way too many issues for a paid platform though that gave me concern few people are actually using it in production.
I did spin up a local instance with docker compose and you get some integrations not available in the cloud hosted version.
I'm hesitant to give it a recommendation - their support is responsive and tries their best - eventually solving issues - but if something breaks and you lose visibility into marketing spend or something you NEED... it's not been 100% stable for me.
E: to be fair to them - APIs change and break sometimes - I get it, I manage like 40 APIs in our airflow - but taking 3-5 days to fix something you need for production is risky.
