I am a Syrian but my entire internet life lies in the English internet. Recently I am interested in exploring the Arabic internet and I am curious what content do you recommend. Any content type/field is welcome!
This is a good question. I'm sure there is good content unless you are looking for content that is created to pair it with add to earn money. I assume that the adds industry is favouring english content created in more western relations for western or western oriented viewers.
This does not exclude Syrian content per se but makes it harder to support it with adds.
Have you checked blogs, podcast? Other platforms than YouTube?
Would the infrastructure in Syria support creators and consumers of original content?
Have you considered creating something?
A curious topic...
I came across a nice YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEg4_mU2CqqtQxWwzL_uh-w
It posts videos (history, poetry, and similar) by Tameem Al-Barghouthi, a PhD in political sciences from Boston.
