Ask HN: As an engineer, how to learn handling interpersonal conflicts?

2 pointsby applgo443over 2 years ago
What's the best way for engineers to know about generic workplace interpersonal conflicts and how to resolve them? Things like dealing with colleague who steals your work, micromanging boss, etc. A lot of people face same issues and feels like we should have a handbook of sorts.

It sounds like you have been in situations where you did not get recognized for your work or did not get the opportunity to have the conditions to do your optimal work. If so, that must have felt frustrating and annoying. You seek ways to better communicating with others about these situation. I would be happy to share with you a way to make yourself better heard, in the form of a book: Marshall Rosenbergs Non-violent communication. Let me know your thoughts on it.
