The low-cost supermarket cheap brand of olive oil comes in plastic. This company is marking up the price five times yet still manages to mess it up, so they write a lazy apology email and gets a bunch of free advertisement in the Wall Street Journal.
I realize it has absolutely nothing to do with this specific article, but I’m amazed that the Venn diagram of people who buy hipster olive oils and people who don’t want more single-use plastics doesn’t overlap more.
