Google Docs releases syntax highlighted code blocks

Right now I have a &quot;Code Blocks&quot; docs extension which I&#x27;ve used frequently, but it works by auto-formatting the text so you must re-run it on changes. A feature like this which is native would be huge.<p>But it seems I don&#x27;t have this feature yet (A&#x2F;B testing?) And either way it only supports 4 languages right now. So it&#x27;s not very usable yet.<p>Also it seems like Docs added some new things like dropdowns and &quot;Smart Chips&quot; recently, which are specifically designed for Sprints and other dev documents. So I guess they are trying to make docs useful for SE teams now?
