Your location data was always unsafe with Google. Nothing changes now that Google has this new ability to collect the location data you willingly provided to... Google. Seriously, you can&#x27;t hand your data over to Google and then be surprised when Google can get to it.<p>Thankfully the same trick for protecting your data still works with the new URL: to keep your map data from Google, don&#x27;t use google maps. Alternatives exist.
