I know this has been an issue for years but it's remarkable to me that it hasn't been solved yet.<p>Video here: <a href="https://imgur.com/a/T2shvb8" rel="nofollow">https://imgur.com/a/T2shvb8</a><p>On Spotify's iOS app, if you have any cell service connection at all (even if its so weak that you have no internet/data connection), Spotify will try to load the live version of downloaded content (playlist/album/podcast) even if you have that content pre-downloaded locally. The app doesn't even time out of trying to load the online content, it'll just fail to load indefinitely or will load once you get an internet connection.<p>This is super frustrating on the subway. If I have content pre-downloaded and I'm underground (with 0/1 bars and no internet service), I need to disable my cell service entirely to access the already downloaded content.<p>Is there any easier way to force Spotify to prefer the downloaded version if one exists, regardless of connection status?
