I can&#x27;t access the article due to the paywall, but I do have a take worth sharing.<p>I think there&#x27;s a perfect synergy between:<p>1. Corporates being an immensely near sighted form of human interaction,<p>2. Creation of massive, high-maintenance assets when relevant labor and money was cheaper,<p>In the two senses above, core business software is not that different from e.g. the NYC train system or indeed virtually any other utility in the US.
