You Probably Suck at Working Remotely

> People kept coming. People kept leaving. Decision making moved into the shadows. Consensus disappeared. People with no remote experience were hired into significant positions. Middle management sought “fix-all” workflow tooling before understanding open source Ethos or Logos.
Sounds like management was broken just like in every other failed startup.

> If your pattern is to communicate through direct messages or in private channels, then the knowledge and the contributors and the decision making process remain hidden from the team
That's why we have employee Slack channels.
Also worth researching 'remote-only' companies and how they do things.

Oh my. An inline pull-quote that isn't just repeating something within 2 lines of it in the body text. I'm getting goosebumps. Thank you for not fucking this up the way nearly everyone does. God those screaming-what-you-just-read-at-you-again ones are awful.
