It kinda strikes me as a lot of nonsense. I mean, &quot;The teachings of Islam make the absorption of Muslims into Western society particularly difficult.&quot;<p>I see Muslims getting along really well in the US. It&#x27;s true a handful of people have a problem with them here, and the problem is worse in Europe because of illiberal tendencies there. (I think of the French picking a fight over the Burqa)<p>&quot;Ancient&quot; vs &quot;New&quot; civilization is I think also meaningless in the end. When I think of the most famous buildings in China I think of the Forbidden City and I think of the recent headquarters of the state TV company. Chinese people can very much embrace competition, and embrace the future, whereas our own &quot;new&quot; culture shows many signs of of stasis in places.
