I'm not even slightly surprised. Some of the point of Brexit was bringing about greater deregulation which allowed people to pump up margins by importing crap.
This may be true, but the quality of the journalism is so low as to make the claim useless.<p>The meat producer claims he has anecdotal evidence. aka hearsay. He asks law enforcement who don't really have anything. An expert is wheeled out, but all he can say is that it might be happening. Does the journalist investigate? Do they quality sample some meat? Do they ask the ministry? No no and no.<p>Brexit in my opinion is a hot mess. But so is this news story.
