Ask HN: Self help books that have made you a better human being?

5 pointsby optbuildover 2 years ago
I don't particularly like this genre because, nowadays, books in that genre have become the same repetitive thing.
But there are books like How to Win Friends and Influence People that are mentioned over and over again on HN comments.
Have you implemented advice from any such book that have impacted your life for the better? How did it affect your well being?

`Mastery` by Robert Greene[0] was helpful. Mastery can apply to any discipline, so it's a generic book that caters to any creative endeavor. I read it in a day, it's a small little book which I constantly re-read when I feel un-creative. It sparks inspiration each time I read it.
[0] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastery_(book)
