I think it is more than time for industries to start understanding what an operating system should be in their domain. Right now it seems like every automotive player has something cobbled together from a 30 year evolution of software on cars.<p>But proprietary and closed source OSes? What happened to building secure things on secure foundations? Why not start an open source effort with the industry?
