Is anybody going into firefighting or nursing or policing thinking that they&#x27;re ever likely to work from home in 99% of the field&#x27;s jobs?<p>Shouldn&#x27;t we just acknowledge that every kind of job is different and has different advantages and disadvantages? Many jobs that are able to have people WFH can be unhealthy, soul-crushing, and mentally draining experiences to balance out the fact that there&#x27;s a benefit like being able to do that from home at times.

First time I&#x27;ve seen this come up. From a supply&#x2F;demand point of view it makes a lot of sense. Lots of people prefer WFH jobs over on-site.
